The perfect piece.

When I go into the backcountry and I am making my gear piles to pack there is one thing that always makes the cut.  The perfect piece.  There a million different types of garments out there, from gigantor puffy jackets at home on Everest, to lightweight wind shells that rival wearing a trash bag.  It takes some skill to weed through the chaff and pick something that will last, is comfortable and performs anywhere!  It is always hard to go wrong with some type of wind layer.  For years I have used the Marmot Driclime as my go to garment.  Its comfortable, sheds wind, drys super fast, is bug proof, and when wrapped around a bag of layers....a great pillow liner!  Over the years I have come to love and cherish my marmot jacket.  If your headed to summer camp this year make sure you bring a wind jacket....its your best bet for all around coziness.
